Use the communication manager
Note :
You can only send communications to groups / divisions of which you are a leader. So if for example a club has an Under 7 soocer programme, which is made up of Team Alpha , Team Beta etc. and you are the group leader of Team Alpha , then you can only send communication to that Team Alpha.
However if you are the team leader of the Under 7 programme, you can send communication to all members of the teams, ie Team Alpha , Team Beta etc.
Usage
Select the manage communication menu option,
The communication list which is shown , is by default filtered by unsent email messages. To see more filters, click on the show filters buttons.
Configure Rhino Shell to work in Eclipse PDT
I recently found an article on javascript mixins by Angus Croll "A fresh look at JavaScript Mixins" and i needed to practice on some of the mixin techniques which he discussed, I tried running the javascipt files with cscript.exe, wscript.exe for windows by to no avail. The I did a google search and found Rhino Shell for windows.
I was able to install and use Rhino Shell quite easily but it would work best if it was integrated in my IDE , "Eclipse PDT" from Zend. After some googling I was able to configure eclipse to work and with a single click I can execute and debug the javascript scripts.

Setup the communication manager menu
You create a communication manager menu option by
Login into the administrator section.
Go to the menus menu option , Select the "Add new menu item" to the menu you wish to add the communication manager to.
In the "Menu item type", click the "Select" button
Set Permissions for Club Officials
After officials have been linked to the component, they have to be given permissions to perform certain task.
These permissions inlcude the following.
- Manage EOI : This official has access to the eoi manager and can register players who have registered
- Manage Registered Users : The official can use the clubreg manager functions to add new players, add notes to each player, add assets, add payment details and the other functions available.
- Manage Communications : The official can send mass emails to members of his groups.
- Delete Registered Member : The offical can delete a registered member
- Manage Stats : The official can edit stats
The dashboard setting of each official can also be updated
- Show Unapproved EOIs : Show any EOI that have not been registered
- Show Birthdays : Show any upcomming birthdays
