Setting Up Zapier Integration

To start with you will need a Zapier account. So go to https://zapier.com/ and signup. I find it is best to sign up with a google account.

After signing up and logging in, create a zap and use the option "Webhooks by Zapier".

Copy the Custom Webhook Url

Next login to your joomla adminstrator portal. Select Components -> Club Registration Manager->Config Setting.

On the config setting page, select the Options menu button on the top right of the page. This will open the page below

Next paste the copied url in the box shown. Next save and close.

Now when you go to any profile, you will see the "Send to Zapier" button as shown below.  Next click on the button to send a sample payload which will be used to complete the zapier configuration from earlier.

Clicking the button will send a sample payload, which will be used to complete the configuration of the zap.

Next finish the configuration to automate a process or workflow. in this case, we are generating an email using gmail.

Zaps can be configured to insert a row into a google sheet. You can find out more about zapier on https://youtube.com.

Setting up zaps is quite a tricky process, I first heard about Zapier about two years ago, but I have only recently gotten my head around to the concept of integrating applications.
